Meet Maggie.
She is a 3 year old husky. She is quite timid at the moment and very unsure of what is going on right now. A lot has changed for Miss Maggie today. Her mom couldn't take her with her, so she had to give Maggie up. Maggie hung out at the vet this morning and I picked her up around lunch time. She is pretty nervous and very unsure of what is going on with so many changes occurring so quickly. She was overwhelmed meeting the two resident dogs, whom can be very much "in your business". So we sectioned off the bedroom for now to give her a quiet, chill area to adjust to everything. We'll see if a day or two will help her adjust to a new life in our home.
As you can tell, she is very much a spoiled house dog! She made herself right at home on the couches and beds. She even introduced herself to the resident cats in a very gentle manner. She'll need a little time to acclimate to everything. Right now she is very nervous around the other house members. Changes are stressful for animals just as much as people. She'll definitely need a home that can take things slow and let her adjust to them and them to her. She is a real sweetie and a large (she weighed in at 73lbs at the vet this AM ) gorgeous dog.
