Furever Homes!?!?!

Hello everyone-
Alexander and Hercules here! We are staying in Wisconsin and wouldn't you know it that while we are here, they get the BIGGEST snowfall of the season! If we were warm weather dogs, we would be bummed. But we're not, we LOVE the snow! We have no issue tearing around and wrestling in all the white, fluffy goodness that is Wisconsin winter.
Bailey (their foster sister) was more into watching than playing this morning!

Alexander's eyes look amazing against the snowy background!

On top of all the fun we are having playing in the snow, we also got word that we are no longer going to be considered "foster" puppies anymore.

I (Alexander), had a really nice guy come out to meet me on Wednesday evening and he is going to  give me a good home. He showed foster mom pictures of his past dogs, and they look well spoiled. I get to spend the weekend hanging out with my brother and then Sunday, I will get to start a new adventure with my OWN family! Isn't that awesome?

And, I (Hercules) have bonded with my foster mom and dad so well that they just couldn't bear to give me up, so I get to stay right here! (They are now considered foster parent failures, but it's not a bad thing!) Isn't that cool?

Since we are both staying relatively close to each other, and in the winter wonderland of Wisconsin, hopefully we'll still be able to meet up and play with each other every now and then.

We also heard that our sister also got a furever home too! We are so grateful for the loving people with Rescue Warriors Corp. that brought us this far!

The Puppy Report

Hello everyone!
Alexander and Hercules here. After spending way too much time in a shelter and then lots traveling, we are starting to see what life as a spoiled rotten pet is like. We both give it 2 paws up!

Our days are filled with playtime, nap time and snuggle time with our foster parents. We are also learning a lot. Our foster mom was getting tired of carrying us out the door to go potty, so she taught us how to go out the front door and off the porch. We are just starting to figure out this potty training business, but we still need to go out a lot. Our foster mom has been awesome getting up in the middle of the night to take us outside in the cold and snow.

And we are also working on this thing called "come". When foster mom or dad says "come" and whistles, we  have started to come running. Then there is this other thing called "sit", which we have to do before we get a treat.

Foster dad has also been awesome in keeping us entertained and on a potty schedule while mom goes to work. He even takes us to the dog park during the day when he isn't working! We are fascinated by the whole concept of a park just for us dogs!! We still get pretty nervous when other dogs come to say hi, but foster mom and dad are standing right next us, so we know it's okay. We've met dogs that are bigger and smaller than us!

Our foster sister Bailey hasn't quite figured us out yet. Sometimes we think she confuses us for her own children, since she never had any. Sometimes she plays with us and knocks us over, but we get right back up and keep going. We are busy little boys! We also like to steal all of her favorite toys and hoard them in our crate!

The foster cats could really care less about us, and we could care less about them. They sometimes sit and watch us, but we don't bother them.

Did we mention we have a favorite spot already? Well we do! We love to lay on the love seat in the living room or snuggle up by foster mom and dad while they watch TV at night. Ahh the life of a spoiled house dog!

If you are interested in being our furever home or a furever home for a different dog, please get in touch with Rescue Warriors Corp at info@rescuewarriorscorp.com or check them out at Facebook and Shelter Exchange to see all of the awesome dogs available for adoption.

Thanks for checking us out! We're off to take a nap!

Alexander and Hercules

Today we started a new adventure as foster parents to not one, but two husky mix puppies. They are currently 5 months old and came from a shelter in Kentucky. They got to our house early this evening and have been settling in quite well.

Meet Alexander:
Alexander has two blue eyes and is the bigger of the two boys. He is the rowdier one, but is not unruly. He has a sensitive side too and really loves some snuggles. He is trying really hard to be a good lap dog, however as he grows up he is going to get too big to fit in your lap, but for now it works. He loves to run and play. He has a really nice soft puppy coat. He took a bath tonight like a champ and we are already working on potty training. He rode to our house from northern IL like a pro as well.

Meet Hercules:
Hercules has one brown eye and one blue one. He is the smaller of the two boys. He has made himself right at home here. And has even claimed a spot on one of our couches. He is more skittish and is very wary of things right now. But even in the few hours he has been here, you can see he is coming out of his shell. (and I think he is trying to work his way in as a permanent member of our family...) He tolerated his bath ok, but wasn't as impressed as Alexander.  He is also working on his potty routine and rode home just as well as his brother.

So far, life as a foster mom has been pretty good. Bailey (the resident Husky in this house) likes them and wants to play with them. They aren't quite sure what to do with Bailey yet, but I'm sure it won't take long for them to figure it out.

The boys are getting spoiled already.

For more information on the boys, or if you are interested in adopting, check out Rescue Warriors Corp. at Facebook or Shelter Exchange . Take a peek at some of their other awesome dogs available for adoption if your looking for a different type of dog!
